UI Design, Brand Identity, and Iconography
PetBacker connects local animal lovers to pet parents who need a pet service provider. Whether you have an exotic pet or a popular house pet, PetBacker allows you to find a local provider near you at any time. The app is designed for a pet owner and a local service provider.
Project Goal:
The goal was to redesign the UX/UI, logo, and brand identity of an existing business. The brand needed a design that spoke to its mission and was easy to interact with.
To make the app experience easy to follow I needed to create the app just for pet owners looking for local service providers. The main user task I focused on started with signing in to the homepage to find a local groomer, submit a request for their service, and finish with payment. After changing the main focus to pet owners, I was able to reduce the information on the homepage and move them to their appropriate pages for a smoother user flow.
For the brand identity, I chose to stick with their primary color, purple and added some complementary secondary colors. I created a new logo to represent their mission to help all kinds of animals not just animals with paws as they had previously designed. The illustrations are also designed species neutral and have an inviting feel.
